January is nobody’s favourite time of year. It can feel like you’re trapped on the sofa, bored of the telly and sluggish after a holiday season of over-indulgence and board games.

That’s why you need Wintercamp.

Wintercamp runs right in the dead of Winter. Previously pitting its participants against snow, mud, and sub-zero temperatures, it’s the challenge you need to switch you back on for the year ahead.

More quad bikes, less boxsets

Wintercamp 2020 includes over one hundred activities for you to try over a choice of two locations: from archery to abseiling, caving to quad bikes, high-ropes to go-karts. There’ll also be plenty of evening entertainment, including discos, campfires and cinema.

No one reminisces about a night of Netflix. Make memories and friends at Wintercamp 2020.

Winter camp is a national event, a multi activity camp for explorers at Gilwell Park, national Scout HQ, in Chingford, London. We will be traveling by minibus, and camping as a unit. There are many activities on offer; shown to the side, including white water rafting on the Olympic white water course at Lee Valley.

As we will be camping in the Winter, we need to be prepared for the weather that we may be subjected to in January. As such, if you choose to attend winter camp you will need to make sure you have at least a 4 season sleeping bag, insulated waterproof trousers and an insulated waterproof jacket.

The total cost of the event will be £75.00. This includes return transport to Gilwell Park by minibus, camping & event fees at Gilwell and all food.

If you would like to attend winter camp, please sign up on the parent portal.
